Aletha Champine // Founder & CEO of Champine Realty Group of Keller Williams
Graduating from college in 2006 with a degree in Political Science, Aletha certainly did not see herself entering into the in-home childcare space. In fact after graduating she went on to pursue a second degree in Chemistry while working as a research technologist in Milwaukee. Only as a result of a lay off during the market crash in 2008 did the end up in the role of “nanny”. Thanks to her years of babysitting in high school and college, she was able to find a job with a young couple beginning to grow their family. What was meant to be a 2-year ‘stint’ ended up as a decade long first-career. As the children got older it was clear Aletha needed to start putting her future first, and real estate made the most sense for her and her passions, while also being able to slowly transition out of the primary childcare provider for the kids. 5 years later, she is now running one of the top real estate teams in the Milwaukee Area, even hiring one of the children that she nannied for her as a summer intern! |
